Linking GenerationA Forum Theatre Project provides creative avenues through which to investigate, create awareness and facilitate conversations about the increasing break down of family relationships between elders, parents, and young people within newly arrived and emerging communities in Australia. Linking Generations shapes the narratives and fosters cultural understanding exclusively for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) communities in Australia. This successful project was piloted in 2018 receiving overwhelming grassroots support from our diverse local community in QLD. The project delivers distinctive and educational experience by uncovering pressing, genuine, and emotional issues that results in relationships breakdown between parents and young people within their family settings. However, due to impact of covid -19 and challenges that follows, the project could not be sustained till 2023. |
